JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Dr. Denise Jones Gregory will become the next president of Jackson State University after an eight-month national search, state higher education leaders announced. Gregory officially steps into the role as JSU’s fourteenth president immediately, having served as interim president since May 2025. The board said it is confident Gregory can lead the university forward.
