For Hawaiʻi baseball standout Judah Ota, batting practice is about more than perfecting his swing. It’s a daily routine shared with the person who has been by his side since the beginning — his mother, Paula. As Ota prepares for the next chapter of his baseball career, the mother-son duo continues to spend countless hours together at the field, with Paula serving as his batting practice pitcher, biggest supporter and, according to Judah, sometimes his toughest competition.
