You know the old saying “being an adult is saying ‘but after this week, things will calm down a bit’ over and over until you die?” I believe Twitter was the origin of this particular piece of wisdom. That’s how my previous week and my rest of December are looking. Just as I’m hearing the siren song of Winter Break a brand comes through with money to make a version of a project I’ve been wanting to make for a long while.

Oh boy it’s tough to get back to work after U.S. Thanksgiving. Particularly knowing that Christmas Vacation is right around the corner. Makes it difficult to feel fully invested in any project, knowing that we’re firmly in “let’s circle back after the Holidays” territory.

Happy Thanksgiving fellow U.S. dwellers – and I don’t say citizens because my dad, who only became a citizen in 2020 in order to vote in the great state of Arizona, has long cited Thanksgiving as his favorite Holiday. Despite its dubious origins, he has always said that Thanksgiving is Americans at their best – giving, welcoming, focused on bringing their communities together and enjoying one another’s company.
