Emma Jarratt is an investigative multimedia journalist in Toronto. She holds a Master of Journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University and a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton University. Emma is a reporter with the Investigative Journalism Bureau and the Editor-at-Large for Electric Autonomy Canada. She previously freelanced in print and broadcast, specifically concentrating on investigations, the green energy and transportation sector, conflicts and politics.

This travel award seeks to build on the existing good relations between Canada and Norway. The Norwegian High North Journalism Award offers young aspiring journalists an opportunity to travel, work and conduct research in a field of particular interest to them and relevant to both Norway and Canada. Travel to Norway should result in a published story or a broadcast report that examines how one or both countries are dealing with a policy issue that affects both Canada and Norway as northern countries.
