Rogers State University recently installed Don Raleigh as its third president in a ceremony steeped in academic tradition at Claremore First Baptist Church. Raleigh, who has been leading RSU since June 2025, was honored with the university's presidential medallion and academic mace during the investiture ceremony.

A few hours after honoring a building intended to advance future STEM research, Rogers State University named its third president in a ceremony with medieval roots. Don Raleigh has led RSU since June 2025, when the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education picked him as president. On March 27, RSU and the Regents formally installed him at Claremore First Baptist Church.

People driving State Highway 66 through Claremore in recent weeks have likely spotted swatches of paint on the face of J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum. Director Randy Ramer said the home of the world's largest private gun collection will soon see more than a new coat of paint. By June, Ramer said, patrons will notice major updates to the building's exterior: a big red roadside revolver that illuminates at night, for example, and a sunshade that will throw gun-shaped shadows on the pavement.
