Originally from Sydney, Australia, he is currently the Executive Director of the Peace Islands Institute New York and is based in Manhattan, New York city. Previously he was based in Washington DC as the president of Rumi Forum (2009-2019). Both Peace Islands and Rumi Forum are dedicated to interfaith & intercultural understanding and social harmony issues and are affliated with the Hizmet Movement and Fethullah Gulen (see also here).
