Exploring the gravito-optic effect for gravity sensing applications
Abstract Accurate measurements of Earth gravity and its variations with time are crucial not only for fundamental research on gravitation in physics, but also for other scientific areas including Earth sciences, geophysics and various applications such as geodesy, resource exploration, climate monitoring and navigation as well as natural hazard assessment.
Redshifts Generated by Light Deflection in Gravitational Fields
Submitted: 28 November 2025 You are already at the latest version Einstein’s general theory of relativity predicts that a difference in the gravitational potentials between two locations in a gravitational field would introduce a redshift or blueshift for a light ray travelling from one location to another.

X-ray microbeam measurements with a high resolution scintillator fibre-optic dosimeter
Synchrotron microbeam radiation therapy (MRT) is a type of external beam radiation therapy that comprises of highly collimated planes of 70?keV median energy x-rays1 (see Fig. 1(a)) of typical thickness 50??m and separation 400??m. MRT has proposed applications in the treatment of brain tumours in children where conventional radiation therapies have a high risk to nervous system development.
