WHETHER it is calling the carbon market a sham, accusing producers of gaming the system or simply saying large-scale carbon sequestration can’t be done, some scientists have taken aim at anyone making money from carbon. It is a hard campaign to understand, as for decades many of those same scientists have been pushing for industry and governments to invest in technology that improves production and sequesters carbon.
