She also runs a blog where she documents some of her experiences as a military wife. In her spare time, Erin enjoys cooking, scrapbooking, playing violin and sewing.

Texas Better Newspaper Contest
2012 - newswriting
The Victoria Advocate earned first place in newswriting in the annual Texas Better Newspaper Contest. The Advocate won for two news stories, "Same-sex marriage" by Gheni Platenburg and "Campus chaos" by Kayla Bell and Erin Pradia. The newspaper also took second place in feature story, winning for two entries, "Fighting back, giving back" by J.R. Ortega and "The pull of water" by Dianna Wray.
