(WANE) — In June, Fort Wayne City Councilman (R) Russ Jehl brought forth a bill that would create a data center task force called the Data Center & Community Quality of Life+ Task Force for the City of Fort Wayne. The item was deferred in June because council wanted more time to grapple with the new idea. On Tuesday, council decided to play for time by voting to hold the issue until September.

Fort Wayne, Ind. (WANE) — The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) has confirmed that two people were injured after shots were fired at a Fort Wayne gas station. Police responded at 3:00 a.m. to the Shell gas station on Broadway and Taylor Street after receiving reports of a disturbance involving an armed individual. While officers were still on the way, two victims arrived at a local hospital, one with apparent gunshot wounds.
