(WPRI) — Massachusetts Sen. Ed Markey stood alongside fellow Democrats Sen. Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Congressman Andre Carson of Indiana on Tuesday as they introduced the Asal Sayas National Strategy for Young Adult Cancers Act. The introduction of this act comes after research released by the American Cancer Society in 2025 indicated that cancer incidence continues to be on the rise. "In the United States, approximately 200,000 young adults are diagnosed with cancer annually," Markey said.
