That was my main question in my life when I decided to write my book, 'Lessons from Hajj'. What did I find as I looked for an answer to my question? Naheed Ejaz, a former mayor of Bracknell and her son, who worked together to stall police after they turned up at their home to question him about the attack, have been jailed. Naheed Ejaz, 61, was Bracknell Forest Council’s first Muslim mayor when she was selected in May 2023 but quit her role as a Labour councillor in October 2024.

Christchurch on 15 March: From tragedy to compassion

Friday 15 March 2019 was the darkest day in Christchurch, New Zealand. A killer motivated with hate entered two Masajid and began shooting at innocent worshippers who gathered for Friday Jumma. They did not commit any crimes except believing in Allah Almighty peacefully. The atrocity from the killer caused 51 worshippers to be killed that included a child, females and males. The atrocity left many more injured, and in trauma.
