New Zealand King Salmon has reported substantially improved financial results for the first half of its 2026 financial year, and has also upgraded earnings guidance for the full year. The company, which farms chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) in the sounds at the top of South Island, made a net profit of A$13.8 million (£7.3m) for the six months ended March 31, 2026 (1HY26), compared to a loss of A$20.8m for the six months ended July 31, 2025.
