What was your first job as a journalist?

Bureau Chief in Saigon for Dispatch News Service in 1971

How is social media changing news?

By offering opportunities for journalist for other than corporate media to cover and interpret stories.

Why did you become a journalist?

Because I realized that connecting the dots and revealing stories that were not obvious or actually hidden is what I do best.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

In was the first to report that the new commander of the Central Command, Adm. William Fallon, was determined to avoid war with Iran.

When's the best time to pitch you?
