Abstract Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and unintended pregnancy remain critical global public health concerns affecting millions of women worldwide. To support the development of new multipurpose products offering non-hormonal contraception and activity against sexually transmitted pathogens, we evaluated copper sulfate, zinc lactate, L-(+)-lactic acid and their combinations as candidate pharmaceutical actives.

Our results lead to an expansion velocity of 6.87  0.36 × 106 ms-1, and Hubble constant of 70.9  3.7 km/s/Mpc consistent with other theories.

June 11, 2024 — In the 1970s and 1980s, U.S. fisheries were so overfished that fishermen were steaming farther and longer to fish, only to return with smaller catches. Now, decades after laws were successfully put in place to revive our fisheries, fishermen are once again finding it harder and harder to find fish, and many economically important fish stocks are depleted and are not rebuilding.
