Originally, WWE sold us on yet another chapter in the Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns feud by reminding us that the former is an itch the latter can never seem to scratch. In many ways that’s been true, dating all the way back to The Shield breakup of 2014. It made for a relatively compelling hook for their latest showcase at SummerSlam early next month in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They went to the other side at the contract signing on Monday Night Raw this week in Dallas.

Big Cass returns to WWE on Aug. 3

During this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, with no announcement of anything beforehand, a promo aired that showed old clips of Big Cass in WWE. He was standing in darkness, looking on at what he once did, with a voiceover that had just two lines. “What happens when the whole world calls you ‘can’t miss?‘ “What happens when the whole world is wrong?” It ended with a date, Aug. 3, which would be first episode of Monday Night Raw following SummerSlam.
