A post-match celebration at a recent WWE live event may have given a glimpse of how WWE could turn Cody Rhodes heel. On Saturday, Rhodes teamed with CM Punk in Las Cruces, New Mexico, to defeat Gunther and Ricky Saints. Afterward, Rhodes carried Punk around on his shoulders before gently setting the Undisputed WWE Champion down on the second rope.

Saturday Night’s Main Event comes to Madison Square Garden this week for the first time ever, and it features a marquee showdown as Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk and Cody Rhodes team up against Gunther and Sami Zayn. It’s an appropriate matchup given the Garden’s history of big names coming together to settle a score.

LA Knight told the truth about the lackluster Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns feud, and WWE fans loved him for it. Cain A. Verano de Escandalo (Summer of Scandal) is the next major event for AAA. General manager Rey Mysterio revealed the triple main event for the card. During Saturday night’s episode of AAA Lucha Libre (July 11, 2026), Mysterio dished the news to the media scrum. Verano de Escandalo will be filmed on July 25 in Aguascalientes, and it will air over three weeks. Each week will have a marquee main event.

Rey Mysterio is a chill general manager in AAA, however, he was forced to flex his authority on the giant Omos in Saturday night’s episode of AAA Lucha Libre (July 12, 2026). Rey would not allow Omos to become Latin American champion. Hijo del Vikingo was the reigning AAA Latin American champion. Unfortunately, Vikingo suffered a serious knee injury. He underwent surgery and will be out for months. That injury is the real deal and not part of a storyline.

It’s not confirmed Chris Jericho is returning as of now but the expectation remains he will sign and be there ASAP. He did not sign so was not there as soon as possible.
