Discussion The present study developed a risk prediction model to predict the risk of HTN for telemedicine intervention based on the results of a large cross-sectional epidemiological study and taking into account the sociodemographic, occupational, and health-related characteristics of seafarers. Our study is the first to develop a model that can be used to predict the risk of HTN through telemedicine. In addition, this study identified predictors associated with HTN.
