KEY POINTS Institutions have a long history of examining and documenting health patterns and lived experiences of South Asian diaspora communities in Canada that is marked by unequal power relations. Most research processes — led by predominantly White academics — have not meaningfully involved South Asian academics in leadership nor meaningfully engaged South Asian communities to reduce health inequities.
