Some massive news: Witcher 3 is getting a Remastered Update on September 29, 2026! All Witcher 3 owners will get the upgrade for free. This isn’t just a resolution bump. The overhaul touches visuals, combat, movement, and traversal, with reworked Sign effects, revamped mount handling, and smarter monster behavior. There’s also a retooled skill tree, transmogrification, an expanded Photo Mode, and fresh finishers to round things out.

According to CD Projekt Red Joint-CEO Michał Nowakowski, the studio is aiming to launch The Witcher 4 in 2028, framing it as the most ambitious thing the company has ever attempted. He shared the news in a short video: That’s a long runway. The game was first teased back in 2022 and didn’t get a proper trailer until The Game Awards in late 2024. Nowakowski’s message, delivered in a brief social clip, essentially asked fans to sit tight and let the team finish the job.
