MEDFORD, Ore. - The Jackson County District Attorney's Office has been evacuated after someone reported finding a suspicious item on the outside of the building. Officers are on scene and investigating, and the Oregon State Police Bomb Squad is heading to the scene now to evaluate the item. Authorities say there's no known threat to the public right now, but they haven't finished looking at the item yet. Parts of 10th Street are closed while crews investigate.

MEDFORD, Ore. - Medford Police arrested an 18-year-old man after he allegedly stabbed his stepfather in the arm on Greenwood Street. Officers responded to the 1800 block of Greenwood Street around 1:03 p.m. Friday for a report of a stabbing. They arrived to find a chaotic scene with a 40-year-old man on the sidewalk suffering from a stab wound to his upper arm. Officers immediately applied a tourniquet to help the victim while other officers went inside the home.

DUNSMUIR, Calif. — Updated: June 5, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office has issued a statement regarding the investigation into marijuana exposure incident at Dunsmuir Elementary School. According to the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office, school officials reported on June 2 that a teacher left cookies out in a common area of a classroom during a morning break on June 1. Later that day, the same teacher and several students fell ill and were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
