Seventeen students recently became the founding cohort of the school’s Mental Health & Wellness Ambassador Program, a first-of-its-kind initiative on Staten Island designed. The goal behind the initiative is to empower elementary school students to support emotional well-being, promote kindness and help foster a culture of acceptance among their peers.

The Happy Together Tour, a touring sensation that has delighted audiences for more than 16 years, returns to the St. George Theatre on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 8 p.m. as part of its 2026 nationwide run. The show brings an evening of chart-topping hits from the 1960s and 1970s.

Hundreds of Staten Islanders gathered Saturday at Snug Harbor Cultural Center & Botanical Garden for the festfestivitiessted by the Staten Island Community Alliance in partnership with Snug Harbor. The festival took place from 2 to 6 p.m. at the South Meadow Stage on the Livingston campus.
