As an Italian, this writer strongly believes our hands are essential to verbal communication. As the old joke goes, if you want to get an Italian to shut up, just tie their hands behind their back. But there's something about the way California Gov. Gavin Newsom does it that makes us want to curl up and die from the sheer cringe. Of course, it doesn't help Newsom that he is a complete phony; a political chameleon who will say anything that his consultants tell him to.

As Twitchy reported last night, a few of the jurors in the Lindsay Clancy trial went public about their deliberations and how they wanted to acquit her, but that stubborn lone juror couldn't seem to get over the fact that ... SHE MURDERED HER CHILDREN. The interviews with these women were every ounce of the bat-poop crazy-filled bucket that you would have expected.

Maybe it's because I didn't dislike Supergirl as much as most people. No, it wasn't a good movie, but it certainly wasn't the worst superhero movie I'd ever seen. Remember The Marvels? Yeah, no one else does either. And Kevin Feige over at the MCU probably wishes he could forget it. too. Plus, Lanterns had Kyle Chandler as the titular hero Hal Jordan, and he is always a treat.
