Methods We conducted a retrospective, predictive analysis to identify factors associated with overtreatment of T2DM using administrative health data obtained between 2001 and 2023 from the British Columbia Ministry of Health. The database includes information on patient and physician demographics, medications dispensed from community pharmacies, outpatient physician visits, emergency room and hospital admissions, and laboratory test results.

Discussion This study is, to our knowledge, the largest AF trial focused on the treatment of uncomplicated UTI; it also incorporates the opportunity to assess the sustained impact of repeated messages. Our findings indicate that providing FPs with personal prescribing data with peer comparison accompanied with evidence-based therapeutic recommendations resulted in a notable increase in evidence-based prescribing of antibiotics for uncomplicated lower UTI.
