Yellow card for BBC after Lineker own goal: By Greg Simpson, founder of Press for Attention PR
Click to read the article in full. Greg Simpson, founder of Press for Attention PR, dives into the BBC/Gary Lineker debacle. Spoiler alert…I’m a big football fan. You may not be so you will be pleased to learn that this column is not about the ‘beautiful game’, in fact, it all got rather ugly. Now, I’m also a big fan of Gary Lineker. It has nothing to do with his team affiliations (Leicester, Spurs, Everton, Barcelona, Grampus 8, Walkers – I prefer a McCoy), I just quite like the guy.

A right royal crisis - By Greg Simpson, founder of Press for Attention PR

There are so many errors from a strategic and tactical point of view it is almost impossible to pinpoint where to start with this one.

Has the poppy lost its appeal? - By Greg Simpson, founder of Press for Attention PR

If you’re looking to get new customers, it's all about the rhythm baby - East Midlands Business Link
By Greg Simpson, founder of Press for Attention PR and Enterprise Nation Champion for Nottingham. What is a customer worth to you? If you’re a cafe, it might be £3.99. A restaurant, maybe £50. If you’re a lawyer, let’s face it, it is probably a tad more. What about me, the humble PR consultant…well, anywhere from £99 to £27,000. You see, I don’t see customers as a one off transaction, I see them all as long-term clients in waiting.
PR - more than words - East Midlands Business Link
By Greg Simpson, founder of Press for Attention PR and Enterprise Nation Champion for Nottingham. Cue the guitars, the gentle beat, the smoky bar room set. It’s time to realise that PR is so much more than words, it is relationships… I speak to a lot of different people about what I do and essentially, it boils down to “I put you in the papers”.
Sales and marketing or marketing and sales? - East Midlands Business Link
By Greg Simpson, founder of Press for Attention PR and Enterprise Nation Champion for Nottingham. Let’s take a little trip out of the office into the farmyard. Which comes first? Sales or marketing? It’s a bit of a trick question as they should be working together, not as separate parts of a business, although I see this far too often, with one department blaming the other for lack of bottom-line impact.

There's no such thing as bad publicity... pah! - East Midlands Business Link
