Cybersecurity is key for digital transformation
Courtesy: CFE Media screen capture from 2021 Hannover Messe Digital Edition Manufacturing is undergoing some major changes and turning toward a digital transformation. Technology is becoming more intertwined with one another thanks to the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and other concepts are bringing everything together. The world is heading toward a digitalized future.
Imaging system allows users to see UV and visible light simultaneously
A passive down-conversion imaging system created by University of Wisconsin-Madison engineers allows humans to peer into the UV range while still viewing the visible spectrum, with no batteries required. When it comes to light, there’s a lot more than meets the eye: While humans can see visible light in the wavelength range between 400 and 700 nm—that rainbow between violet and red—there’s a lot of information our eyes can’t detect in the near infrared and ultraviolet (UV) ranges.

Crystal Gaze 2021: 6 UiPath Automation Predictions for 2021
very year around this time, I take stock of where automation, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and AI are headed. Last year, I predicted that there would a downturn in the global economy that would accelerate digital transformation initiatives with automation—a stance that proved to be unbelievably true. Though the world has changed drastically in the last 12 months, we’re still going to see the effects of 2020 ripple through the upcoming year.
2021 RPA, AI, and Automation Predictions
It’s that time of year again. Time to start thinking forward to the year ahead. And for me, time to revisit what has become something of an annual tradition: making predictions for what lies ahead for robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI), and automation. This year marks the third consecutive year I’ve done this. In 2018, I started by writing an article that highlighted six trends I thought we’d see in 2019.

UiPath 2020 Industry Leader - Gartner RPA Magic Quadrant
Guy Kirkwood is chief evangelist at UiPath. For the second consecutive year, UiPath has been named a Leader in the 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Robotic Process Automation. We’re extremely proud to have been named a Leader again in the newly released Gartner Magic Quadrant for Robotic Process Automation, as we believe it shows our commitment to helping our customers achieve success with automation.
Global Pandemic Accelerates Automation Plans - Forrester Reports
Guy Kirkwood is chief evangelist at UiPath. As the world moves into the next phase of the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic crisis—with fewer stay-at-home orders, industries reopening, and governments attempting to facilitate a return to 'normal'—businesses are evaluating their current situations with an eye to the future and what a post-pandemic world might look like.
Traditional Offshore Outsourcing Made Better With RPA
Around the world and across industries, technology has disrupted (or at least augmented) outdated business practices and made companies better for it. Nowhere is this truer than in the traditional offshore outsourcing industry. But before you start looking for a way out of your service contracts, new technology—and, specifically, automation—doesn’t spell the end of offshore outsourcing or minimize the competitive edge your partners have.
How Automation Helps Solve Retirement Crises
In many developed countries, there will soon be more grandparents than grandchildren to take care of them. Birth, death, and retirement trends show that populations are aging unevenly across the world. This demographic projection has a variety of names: the retirement crisis, the demographic time bomb, the silver tsunami. All point to economies that will require more workers than they have available. More people are aging and retiring than our systems—public and private—can handle.

Are You OK Being A Project Manager?
In a previous article of mine, Affecting Business Cases, I mentioned “I’m OK. – You’re OK”1 by Thomas A. Harris, which is a classic text on Transactional Analysis written in the 1960s – and one of two books which fundamentally changed my outlook on life, family, work, relationships. Transactional analysis is a method to understand how the mind operates, why we do what we do and how we can stop doing what we do if we wish.
Seven Predictions For Robotic Process Automation (RPA) In 2020
The RPA industry is growing at a rate like no other. Gartner has coined RPA as ‘the fastest-growing segment of the global enterprise software market’ – and predicted that the global market for RPA services will hit an estimated £5.98 billion in 2020. It is set to be a pivotal year for automation – and one that will see an exciting variety of big shifts, as the RPA industry matures and the global economy reacts and adapts to it. Overall, the pace of RPA maturity will continue to accelerate.
Retail’s Future Lies in Robotic Process Automation
The retail sector is going through a monumental transformation. The deepening high street crisis is placing huge pressure to keep customers coming through the doors – while increasing back-office efficiencies to cut costs. Automation in the Workplace RPA is growing fast: Gartner Inc. predicts that by the end of 2022, 85% of large and very large organizations will have adopted some form of RPA.
RPA & Hyperautomation Trends
Guy Kirkwood is chief evangelist at UiPath. Much like a Robotic Process Automation (RPA) robot, technology trends never sleep. For business and IT leaders, keeping up with the latest and greatest can feel like building the track in front of a bullet train. However, when we take a step back and consider the true end goal, we can see those trends as the logical next step to a technology already in use. This is certainly the case with RPA and the trend of hyperautomation. Automation vs.

Robotic Process Automation Transforms Human Productivity
Despite predictions of job losses, automation technology is creating a more exciting future for thousands of employees. As robotic process automation (RPA) technology demonstrates its worth, almost every workplace with administrative functions will benefit.
Bringing the human touch back to telecoms
One of the biggest challenges facing the telecoms industry is managing the customer experience, after all the rate of customer satisfaction is a huge determinant of success. Yet despite the need to focus on this critical aspect of service, many in the industry are struggling. According to the latest UK Customer Satisfaction Index from The Institute of Customer Service, telecoms is the worst performing sector when it comes to keeping people happy.
