The effects of multiple low-level mycotoxins contaminated maize on the production performance, antioxidant capacity and immunity of laying hens
ABSTRACT 1. The present study investigated the effects of mild mycotoxin contaminated maize with low levels of aflatoxin B1 (AFB1), zearalenone (ZEA), deoxynivalenol (DON) and fumonisin (FUM) on the production performance, egg quality, antioxidant capacity and immunity of laying hens. 2.

4D-printed dual-responsive bioscaffolds for treating critical-sized irregular bone defects
Introduction The increasing number of diseases such as trauma, tumors and infections, which are often treated with irregular bone defects, has led to a surge in the demand for tissue-engineered bone [1]. Although autologous bone grafting is the gold standard for clinical treatment of bone defects, it suffers from donor shortage, secondary trauma at the donor site and difficulty in adapting to the defect site [2].

A cloudy planetary boundary layer oscillation arising from the coupling of turbulence with precipitation in climate simulations
The Community Atmosphere Model (CAM) adopts Cloud Layers Unified By Binormals scheme (CLUBB) and an updated microphysics (MG2) scheme for a more unified treatment of cloud processes. This makes interactions between parameterizations tighter and more explicit. In this study, a cloudy planetary boundary layer (PBL) oscillation related to interaction between CLUBB and MG2 is identified in CAM. This highlights the need for consistency between the coupled sub-grid processes in climate model development.
Facile preparation of S-doped magnetite hollow spheres for highly efficient sorption of uranium(VI)
Magnetite sorbents (MS) have been widely employed for water purification; however, adsorption capacity loss frequently occurs during the formation of magnetite sorbents. In this study, we report the preparation of S-doped magnetite hollow spheres (S-doped MHS) used for the removal of UO with a large adsorption capacity of 450.0 mg U per g, higher than that of pure Fe O .
215P 53BP1 loss induces the chemoresistance of colorectal cancer cells to 5-fluorouracil by inhibiting ATM-CHK2-P53 pathway
Background: P53 binding protein 1 (53BP1) is a key component in DNA repair to maintain genetic stability and preventing tumors. Our previous study indicated that 53BP1 loss is an adverse prognostic factor of colorectal cancer, but its effect on the sensitivity of colorectal cancer to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) is unknown. This study aimed to examine the effect of 53BP1 expression on the sensitivity of colorectal cancer to 5-FU.
