1 Introduction Cognition is the ability of the brain to comprehend information and support memory, thinking, and decision-making. A decline in this ability is called cognitive impairment, making everyday functioning difficult (Academy of Cognitive Disorders of China (ACDC) et al. 2020). Cognitive impairment becomes more prevalent with increasing age, presenting a serious risk to public health (Zhou et al. 2022).
