Existing Ultra-High-Definition (UHD) low-light image enhancement (LLIE) methods typically rely on either spatial- or frequency-domain modeling, or independently process different frequency components for efficient restoration. However, they often fail to jointly exploit complementary spatial--frequency information and the inherent relationship between illumination and structural information across frequencies, leading to inconsistent illumination, residual noise, and detail artifacts.
Ocean acidification reshapes phytoplankton phosphorus metabolism under phosphate-limited conditions
Abstract Phosphorus (P) availability constrains marine productivity, yet how ocean acidification interacts with intensifying phosphate limitation remains unresolved. Here we present multi-omics analyses of >1,000 generations of experimental diatom evolution to disentangle evolutionary and acclimation-driven responses to ocean acidification under different phosphate regimes.

Genomic and phenotypic evidence support visual and olfactory shifts in primate evolution - Nature Ecology & Evolution
Abstract Sensory trade-offs between vision and olfaction in the evolution and radiation of primates have long been debated. However, insights have been limited by a lack of sensory gene sequences and accompanying functional predictions. Here we conduct large-scale functional analyses of visual and olfactory receptors and related brain regions across extant primates.
Integrated Metagenomic and LC-MS/MS Analysis Reveal the Biogenic Amine-Producing Strains in Two Typical Types of Chinese Traditional Fish Products: Fermented Mandarin Fish (Siniperca chuatsi) and Semi-Dried Yellow Croaker (Larimichthys crocea)
Submitted: 22 February 2025 You are already at the latest version Two typical types of fish products including fermented mandarin fish and semi-dried yellow croaker are associated with biogenic amines (BAs), which are harmful to human health. The objective of this study was to investigate the bacterial ecology in the two fish products and to research its capacity of BAs-producing. PUT and CAD were major BAs detected in fish products.

Preparation and characterization of Antarctic krill oil/quercetin co-loaded liposomes and their protective effect on oleic acid-induced steatosis and oxidative stress in vitro
Preparation and characterization of Antarctic krill oil/quercetin co-loaded liposomes and their protective effect on oleic acid-induced steatosis and oxidative stress in vitro† This study aims to introduce a new liposome to co-load Antarctic krill oil (AKO) and quercetin (QC) as a new delivery formulation to enrich the application of AKO and QC. The stability of liposomes could be increased by adding an appropriate quantity of soy lecithin (SL).

Recent Advances in Sources, Migration, Public Health, and Surveillance of Bisphenol A and its Structural Analogs in Canned Foods
Abstract : The occurrence of bisphenol A (BPA) and its structural analogs, known as endocrine disruptors is widely reported. Consumers could be exposed to these chemicals through canned foods, leading to health risks. Considerable advances have occurred in the pathogenic mechanism, migration law, and analytical methodologies for these compounds in canned foods. However, the confusion and controversies on sources, migration, and health impacts have plagued researchers.

Endangered pangolins rescued from illegal wildlife trade in Vietnam
Police in central Thanh Hoa Province on Wednesday detected suspicious signs on a truck traveling from HCMC to Thai Nguyen Province and so stopped it for inspection. The police found a styrofoam box on the truck. When the driver failed to tell them what was inside the box, they opened it and found a bag weighing 15kg. The police found seven pangolins in smaller bags.
Severe floods in Central Vietnam city following anomalous 15-hour rain
At around 10 a.m., streets like Dinh Cong Trang, Le Ninh, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Nguyen Trai and Phan Dinh Cang were 30-50 cm underwater. Several vehicles tried to wade through the water, only for their engines to get shut down. On the sidewalks, waves crashed into nearby houses every time cars passed by. Traffic police forces were stationed at multiple locations to warn people not to enter severely flooded areas and to help people with damaged vehicles travel past flooded sections.
Woman reunites with Vietnamese family after 19 years in China
"I thought I would never see you again," Thuy cried as she embraced her loved ones in an emotional reunion on Monday. Le Trung Truc, director of the social work center in Nghe An Province, said Le Thi Thuy was received by a border guard station in Cao Bang from Chinese authorities on November 4. Thuy said she was from the central province’s Quynh Vinh Commune, that she’d got married in China and had two kids, but had no personal documents with her.
Wild elephants lose habitat, lack mates in central Vietnam
The central province is currently home to around 14-16 wild elephants living in five different herds, according to the provincial forest rangers. Of these, the biggest has around eight-nine elephants, living in the Pu Mat National Park. Some are loners and others move around in pairs. For the smaller herds, the ability to reproduce is very low, given the lack of mates, said Vo Cong Anh Tuan, head of the Department of Science and International Cooperation at the park.
