It’s not hard to find the “Old West” in Oregon. Head deep into the high desert to find ghost towns (both living and dead), including one that hosts mock gunfights in the streets. You can stop by any number of small-town “saloons” (though few have swinging doors), and it seems like just about every small, rural community has a rodeo. Saddle shops? We have ‘em. Western wear? New and used. But if you had to pinpoint the capital of Old West Oregon, it might as well be Sisters.
