LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — North Hardin softball topped Apollo 4-3 to advance to the second round of the KHSAA Softball state championship. The Trojans are making their first appearance at the state tournament since 2009. North Hardin's offense was spearheaded by left fielder Tykeria Davis, who went 2-for-4 with one run, and third baseman Kaylee Johnston, who finished the afternoon 1-for-3 with one run and an RBI. Star pitcher Brooklyn Carmickle did what she does best — strike people out.
