Major League team owner and Hall of Famer Bill Veeck was once quoted as saying, “Baseball is almost the only orderly thing in an unorderly world; if you get three strikes, even the best lawyer in the world can’t get you off.” Observing what seems to be going on in the world today, especially in American politics, it’s hard to refute this statement. In baseball the rules of play are known by all those who play the game, as well as the coaches and managers.
