(WKBN) – The first named storm of the 2026 Atlantic Hurricane season has formed off the coast of Texas. Tropical Storm Arthur began as a cluster of storms in the Gulf of America, but thanks to warm conditions in the Gulf, there was enough to form this brief tropical system. The coast of Texas and Louisiana is preparing for intense rainfall and gusty winds Wednesday into Thursday. A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued along the coastlines ahead of the storm’s landfall.

Another round of storms expected Wednesday night

(WKBN) – Just days following the severe storms that led to two confirmed tornadoes in Columbiana County, there’s another chance of strong to severe storms Wednesday night into Thursday. This evening, a warm front will lift across the region before a cold front passes. The system will start out west, much stronger over into Indiana and Michigan. As the system moves eastward, it’s likely the system will weaken.
