After Coventry's City Council election results, no party has overall control, meaning coalition talks are highly likely. The people of Coventry have voted for change in the local elections yesterday, with the make up of the city council completely changed. Whilst Labour are still the biggest party, they no longer have the majority. The Conservatives are now the third party, instead of the second. Reform UK made huge gains.

All stillbirths at a Black Country hospital during 2025 are set to be reviewed following a report which found issues in the care of babies and mothers. Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust will be looking at all stillbirths which occurred last year at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. The review has been revealed in correspondence between campaigner Tom Hender and Health Secretary Wes Streeting, seen by ITV News Central.

An inquest has recorded that failures were made in the care of a 29 year-old pregnant woman, who died along with her unborn son. Sade Anthony died of diabetes ketoacidosis, an acute complication of diabetes, in September 2024. She went into cardiac arrest at Birmingham City Hospital and her son Sergio was stillborn at 23 weeks when delivered during a C-section aimed at saving Sade's life.
