MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Hot and humid conditions remain locked in across the Gulf Coast through Sunday. While actual air temperatures will top out in the lower to middle 90s, the humidity will make it feel much hotter. Afternoon heat index values are expected to range from 100 to 106 degrees, and warm overnight temperatures in the middle and upper 70s will provide little relief.

Hot afternoons and warm nights

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Hot and humid conditions will persist through the weekend with afternoon heat index values ranging from 100 to 105 degrees. Overnight temperatures will remain warm, generally in the upper 70s near the coast, providing little relief from the heat. The combination of hot afternoons and warm nights can increase the risk of heat-related illnesses, especially for those spending long periods outdoors.

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - After a brief stretch of lower humidity and more comfortable conditions, summertime weather is making a strong return to the Gulf Coast this weekend. Residents across coastal Alabama, northwest Florida, and southeast Mississippi can expect increasing heat and humidity through Sunday as southerly winds continue to transport moisture inland from the Gulf.
