Hannah Selinger is a James Beard Award-nominated lifestyle journalist based in New York and Massachusetts. She holds a B.A. in English and comparative literature from Columbia University (2002) and an M.F.A. in writing from Emerson College, where she was a Presidential Merit Fellow (2005). Opening the powder-pink door to the 1780s The Inn at Hancock, I stepped into a hidden wonderland of color and texture. Room after room, my senses were overwhelmed by opulent decor, walls painted in bright hues or covered in statement wallpaper, and layered in ornate frames holding sketches and landscapes. It felt like I was visiting an eccentric relative in the English countryside, one with meticulous taste, though.
