Distributional impacts of EU tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles across European markets
|
Abstract In July 2024, the European Union (EU) introduced additional tariffs on battery electric vehicles imported from China. How these trade measures affect the pace and distribution of vehicle electrification depends on automakers’ response strategies. Here we combine model-level cost data with a market adoption framework to quantify how tariff-induced cost shocks propagate through total cost of ownership and reshape electric vehicle adoption across 20 EU countries and 10 vehicle classes.

Managing the impacts of EU electric vehicle import tariffs
EU import tariffs on battery electric vehicles may not substantially hinder the overall electrification process but may substantially reduce adoption in vulnerable markets. These findings highlight the uneven implications of broad trade interventions and underscore the importance of complementary policies to support a resilient and inclusive transition.
Molecular glue degraders of HuR suppress BRAF-mutant colorectal cancer
Abstract BRAF gain-of-function mutations, particularly BRAF(V600E), affect roughly 10% of all patients with colorectal cancer (CRC), and portend poor prognosis with limited therapeutic interventions. BRAF inhibitors such as encorafenib are ineffective due to MAPK pathway reactivation driven by BRAF dimerization. Combined inhibition of BRAF and EGFR, although approved therapies, results in short survival benefits and frequent treatment resistance and relapse1,2,3.
A high-resolution dataset on costs and greenhouse gas emissions of battery recycling in China
Abstract The rapid growth of electric vehicle deployment is expected to lead to a surge in retired batteries over the coming decades, drawing increasing attention to battery recycling as part of sustainability transitions. However, existing assessments of battery recycling costs and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are often conducted at coarse spatiotemporal scales, limiting their ability to capture regional heterogeneity and long-term dynamics.

Physicochemical Response of External Plant Growth Regulator in the Cutting Process of Mulberry
1. Introduction As an important component of Chinese agricultural culture, mulberry has a long cultivation history and has had a profound cultural precipitation from the early stage of civilization to the present. Mulberry fruit is one of the fruit species that is important in human health and nutrition because it is rich in biochemical contents. Therefore, its cultivation and popularity have been increasing in recent years [1].
Compressive performance of 3D printed fault‐tolerant polymer lattice structures
Abstract The sudden macroscopic damage to the structure is one of the main factors affecting its safe service. This paper investigates the compressive performance of a fault-tolerant polymer lattice structure prepared by stereolithography apparatus. The lattice structure comprises hexagonal and rhombohedral lattices with varying thicknesses. The quasi-static compression experiment results show that bi-lattice has better fault tolerance than single rhombohedral lattice or pure triangular lattice.
