Promotion of nisin production by integrating rare earth salt stimulation and foam separation with fermentation system
Nisin is an antimicrobial peptide which offers potential for the replacement of synthetic preservatives in the food industry. However, nisin is difficult to produce on a large scale due to low synthesis efficiency and severe feedback inhibition. The objective of this work was to promote nisin production by integrating rare earth salt stimulation and foam separation with fermentation system.

Structural basis of AtCas9 recognition of PAM mutants in underwound DNA topology
Abstract The CRISPR–Cas9 system locates targets through guide RNA pairing and recognition of a protospacer-adjacent motif (PAM). Although PAM specificity is sequence-determined, DNA topology can relax PAM requirements and enable near-PAMless cleavage by the type II-C Alicyclobacillus tengchongensis Cas9 (AtCas9). However, the structural mechanism underlying this regulation remains unknown.
