Brushing off the game’s horror mechanics may still happen however, in fact I’ve seen it happen already. Firstly, the period Professor Layton is set in is never truly obvious. It’s largely attributed to 1960s Britain, but many elements of its environments fluctuate between much earlier eras or more contemporary feels.
