(Twitter/Alabama Football) University of Georgia head coach Kirby Smart finally got it done against his former boss Nick Saban. Alabama fought hard but ultimately fell to the Georgia Bulldogs 33-18 in the game that mattered most. The National Championship game this year featured the undisputed two best teams in the nation. While Georgia looked like the top dog in the nation all year, the Crimson Tide took the Dawgs down in the SEC Championship Game.

(Twitter/Alabama Football) While some college football fans are upset about Alabama and Georgia playing in the national championship game again, fans in the Southeast know the importance of Monday’s matchup. For starters, this is the second time that these two programs have played for it all in the last four years. The last time was in 2018. The Crimson Tide came out on top after being down 13-0 at the half.

(Twitter/Alabama Football) No. 1 Alabama put an end to the Group of Five experiment on Friday, beating No. 4 Cincinnati 27-6 at the Cotton Bowl in Texas to punch a ticket to the National Championship Game. The Crimson Tide were led by sophomore quarterback Bryce Young, who was this year’s Heisman Trophy winner. He threw for 181 yards, going 17-28 on his passes with three touchdowns. However, it wasn’t Young’s arm that was leaned on as much in this game.
