Polarization Photovoltage Transistor enabling Amplified Responsivity and Sensitivity
Abstract With the rapid advancement of multi-dimensional detection, there is an urgent demand for next-generation polarization detectors capable of achieving high responsivity, fast speed, and strong polarization sensitivity, metrics that are typically limited by fundamental trade-offs. Two-dimensional (2D) materials offer a promising platform, yet their weak intrinsic anisotropy constrains polarization ratio (PR) and overall device performance.

Synergistic aluminum dual-atom sites and nickel nanoclusters for acetylene selective hydrogenation - Nature Communications
Abstract Synergistic catalysis, where distinct active species collaboratively activate different substrates, provides a powerful strategy for achieving chemical transformations with enhanced efficiency. Although Al2O3 and bulk aluminum species are widely employed as catalyst supports, they are seldom regarded as active centers, especially in hydrogenation. Here, we show that atomically dispersed Al species can catalyze acetylene conversion at elevated temperatures.
A New Method for Optimizing Low-Earth-Orbit Satellite Communication Links Based on Deep Reinforcement Learning
Submitted: 13 January 2026 You are already at the latest version In low-Earth-orbit (LEO) satellite networks, the requirement for intelligent parameter-adjustment strategies has become increasingly critical due to the presence of highly dynamic channel conditions, limited spectrum resources, and complex interference environments. In this paper, a method for optimizing LEO satellite communication links based on deep reinforcement learning (DRL) is proposed.

Prevalence and Risk Factors of Plasma Adiponectin Deficiency: A Cross-
Introduction Adiponectin is the most abundant adipokine in human plasma and its monomer consists of a carboxyl (COOH) terminal globular domain, a collagen-like domain, a variable region, and an amino (NH2) terminal signal peptide.1 The biological functions of adiponectin are multifaceted. Recent epidemiological evidence underscores that adiponectin deficiency correlates strongly with insulin resistance (IR),2–4 dyslipidemia,5 and systemic inflammation6,7 across diverse populations.

The rise and transformation of Bronze Age pastoralists in the Caucasus - Nature
|
Abstract The Caucasus and surrounding areas, with their rich metal resources, became a crucible of the Bronze Age1 and the birthplace of the earliest steppe pastoralist societies2. Yet, despite this region having a large influence on the subsequent development of Europe and Asia, questions remain regarding its hunter-gatherer past and its formation of expansionist mobile steppe societies3,4,5.

Tricaprylin, a Medium-Chain Triglyceride, Aggravates High-Fat Diet-induced Fat Deposition but Improves Intestinal Health Medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs) are absorbed and metabolized more rapidly than long-chain triglycerides (LCTs) therefore are considered to have obesity prevention potential in foods. To date, Tricaprylin as an MCTs, the effect of addition to food on fat deposition and intestinal health is uncharted.

Palaeogenomics of Upper Palaeolithic to Neolithic European hunter-gatherers - Nature
|
Abstract Modern humans have populated Europe for more than 45,000 years1,2. Our knowledge of the genetic relatedness and structure of ancient hunter-gatherers is however limited, owing to the scarceness and poor molecular preservation of human remains from that period3. Here we analyse 356 ancient hunter-gatherer genomes, including new genomic data for 116 individuals from 14 countries in western and central Eurasia, spanning between 35,000 and 5,000 years ago.

Influence of Ablation Deformation on Aero-Optical Effects in Hypersonic Vehicles
Abstract : High-speed turbulence is generated when hypersonic vehicles fly in the atmosphere, which can create aero-optical effects and interfere with optical navigation and guidance systems. At the same time, the front end and optical window of hypersonic vehicles are exposed to an aerodynamic heating environment, leading to the head ablation and thermal deformation of the optical window.

Mining whole-lung information by artificial intelligence for predicting EGFR genotype and targeted therapy response in lung cancer: a multicohort study
Summary Background Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) genotype is crucial for treatment decision making in lung cancer, but it can be affected by tumour heterogeneity and invasive biopsy during gene sequencing. Importantly, not all patients with an EGFR mutation have good prognosis with EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), indicating the necessity of stratifying for EGFR-mutant genotype.

Genomic evidence for the Chinese mountain cat as a wildcat conspecific (Felis silvestris bieti) and its introgression to domestic cats
Abstract The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau endemic Chinese mountain cat has a controversial taxonomic status, whether it is a true species or a wildcat (Felis silvestris) subspecies and whether it has contributed to cat (F. s. catus) domestication in East Asia. Here, we sampled F. silvestris lineages across China and sequenced 51 nuclear genomes, 55 mitogenomes, and multilocus regions from 270 modern or museum specimens. Genome-wide analyses classified the Chinese mountain cat as a wildcat conspecific F. s.

A genome sequence from a modern human skull over 45,000 years old from Zlatý kůň in Czechia - Nature Ecology & Evolution
Abstract Modern humans expanded into Eurasia more than 40,000 years ago following their dispersal out of Africa. These Eurasians carried ~2–3% Neanderthal ancestry in their genomes, originating from admixture with Neanderthals that took place sometime between 50,000 and 60,000 years ago, probably in the Middle East. In Europe, the modern human expansion preceded the disappearance of Neanderthals from the fossil record by 3,000–5,000 years.
