Recent graduate with a B.A. in English and Communications, and a minor in Journalism, Editing, and Publishing. For two years running, I was the News Editor for our campus paper The Elm. Last summer, I worked as a Junior Fellow for the Library of Congress, writing up recommendations for a long-term communications plan. The year prior, I was the Editorial Intern for The American Scholar, where I fact-checked authorial essays and wrote social media blurbs for published works.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

It means having the willingness to uncover injustices regardless of your own comfort level.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I use Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom, Instagram, Canva, and my Canon EOS camera.

Why did you become a journalist?

I was part of a 4-year journalism program and fell in love with its mission of elevating voices and uncovering issues.
