SAGINAW, MI -- Memorial Day is Monday, May 25, and events planned in Saginaw and Bay counties will bring community members together to honor fallen veterans. The first event, a memorial run in Bay City, takes place Thursday, May 21. The second, a parade in Saginaw, is planned for the holiday. Here’s a look at each of these events plus Memorial Day weekend ceremonies planned at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.

MISSAUKEEE COUNTY, MI -- Michigan State Police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide in Lake City. Mid-Michigan school closings, delays for Friday, April 17

SAGINAW COUNTY, MI -- As fog and flooding conditions continue throughout the region, some area schools announced closures or delayed start times Friday, April 17. St. Charles Community Schools are closed completely on Friday due to flooded roads and heavy fog, officials announced on the St. Charles Community Schools Facebook page. Elsewhere in the county, Swan Valley Schools and Chesaning Union Schools announced two hour delays. See a complete list of school closings and delays at wnem.com.
