Helen Moore

Helen Moore, beloved wife, aunt, sister, friend, and neighbor, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025 in Alton, IL. Born in Frozen Creek, KY on June, 28, 1935, she lived a life filled with love, generosity, and joy. An award-winning golfer, Helen was admired for her talent, encouragement, and gracious spirit everywhere she went. She was also known for her warmth and hospitality-always cooking for her neighbors. She also shared a special love for her prized show dogs over the years.

Kirk Merrington Craft Makers are running a charity fair at Kirk Merrington Community Centre, on Saturday 9 August, from 12 noon until 3pm, writes Helen Moore. All the money raised at this event will support St Cuthbert’s Hospice. There will be a wide selection of craft stalls, a cafe, home bakes, tombola and a raffle drawn on the day. Stalls will cost £5 to hire plus a donation of a raffle prize.
