Recent advances in organic reactions on metal surfaces Chemical reactions of organic molecules on the metal surface have been intensively investigated in the past decades, where the metal plays the role of catalyst in many cases. In this review, at first we summarize recent works on spatial molecules, small H2O, O2, CO, CO2 molecules, and the molecules carrying silicon groups as the new trends of molecular candidates in on-surface chemistry.
