Abstract Group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) play a critical role in initiating the type 2 immune response, particularly in allergic airway diseases. Although the effects of glutamate on the immune system have been reported previously, its role in modulating the function of ILC2s and lung inflammation remains unclear. In this study, we report that the glutamate levels increased in lung tissue following exposure to allergens.
Abstract Interleukin-33 (IL-33) from lung epithelial cells serves as a crucial alarmin to activate the lung-resident group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) and then to initiate type 2 inflammation. However, whether IL-33 has an intrinsic role in the ILC2-driven lung inflammation remains unclear. In this study, we characterize the proteomic features of mouse lung ILC2s during activation and observe an increased expression of intrinsic IL-33 in activated ILC2s.
Aim: The CYP19A1 gene encodes the key aromatase for estrogen biosynthesis, and this study aimed to explore the relationship between CYP19A1 rs6493497 and rs936306 polymorphisms and depression risk. Methods:CYP19A1 rs6493497 and rs936306 genotyping was performed on 502 depression patients and 504 healthy controls.
