Glutamate attenuates the ILC2 response and allergic airway inflammation via the kainate receptor GluK2
Abstract Group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) play a critical role in initiating the type 2 immune response, particularly in allergic airway diseases. Although the effects of glutamate on the immune system have been reported previously, its role in modulating the function of ILC2s and lung inflammation remains unclear. In this study, we report that the glutamate levels increased in lung tissue following exposure to allergens.
ILC2-intrinsic IL-33 amplifies ILC2 activation and allergic lung inflammation
Abstract Interleukin-33 (IL-33) from lung epithelial cells serves as a crucial alarmin to activate the lung-resident group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) and then to initiate type 2 inflammation. However, whether IL-33 has an intrinsic role in the ILC2-driven lung inflammation remains unclear. In this study, we characterize the proteomic features of mouse lung ILC2s during activation and observe an increased expression of intrinsic IL-33 in activated ILC2s.
Visual Screening of Genetic Polymorphisms in Eae Gene of Escherichia coli O157:H7 with Single-Nucleotide Resolution by Arms Pcr-Mediated Lateral Flow Strip[v1] | Preprints.org
Submitted: 24 December 2025 You are already at the latest version Development of rapid, precise and fieldable detection methods for foodborne pathogen is one of the essential requirements in food safety and public health. In this research, the single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in the eae gene of Escherichia coli O157:H7 is well visually identified with the designed amplification refractory mutation system-polymerase chain reaction (ARMS-PCR) mediated lateral flow strip (LFS).
