1,4:3,6-dianhydro-α-D-glucopyranose (DGP) is an important biomass pyrolysis anhydro sugar product that derives from cellulose and hemicellulose components [1]. It was firstly isolated and identified by Tischenko et al. from the gasification products of wood, with a rigid, multi-oxygen-bridged, multi-ring cage-like chiral structure free of CO or CC unsaturated bonds [2].
