Trio arrested for drugs in Scottsboro

On Friday, June 26, at around 2:30 a.m., Scottsboro police officers located a stationary vehicle in the eastbound lanes near the intersection of US-72 and South Broad Street. During the investigation, officers noticed the vehicle displayed an expired license plate registered to a different vehicle. Officers began speaking with the occupants, Jessica Metcalf, 28, of Pisgah, Brianna Chambers, 31, of Pisgah and Cassandra Best, 35, of Rodgersville.

Scottsboro man arrested for felony domestic violence

On Tuesday, at approximately 10 p.m., Scottsboro police officers responded to a report of an active domestic violence incident at a residence on Press Road. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who displayed visible injuries consistent with strangulation. During the investigation, officers confirmed there was an active Protection From Abuse Order in place, prohibiting the suspect from having contact with the victim.

VFW Post 12242 gets named after Pisgah native

On Friday, June 12, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 12242 held a ceremony, officially renaming its post the Sgt. Jeremy D. Foshee VFW Post 12242. Among those in attendance were members of the VFW, family and friends of Foshee. Foshee’s parents, Bobby and Patsy. Jeremy Foshee was born on Aug. 14, 1976 and lived in Pisgah. Foshee volunteered to serve in the U.S. Army in 1995, being assigned to Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 222nd Aviation Regiment in Fort Eustis, Virginia.
