With the delivery of two new Gripen C fighters to Hungary, Swedish manufacturer Saab has completed a contract amendment order for four aircraft that was signed in January 2024. On June 24, 2026, Saab confirmed that Gripen C fighters landed the day before at Kecskemét Air Base, for filling an agreement signed between the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) and the Hungarian Ministry of Defense.

EASA demands 16 Airbus A380s urgently inspected over wing spar cracks

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has demanded that 16 Airbus A380 aircraft are urgently inspected, including five that must be checked before flying commercially again. On June 22, 2026, EASA issued an Emergency Airworthiness Directive (2026-0119-E) calling for wing mid spars inspections of 15 A380s operated by Emirates and one by Qantas.
